Top Tips for Hosts

Tip 1: Use the galleries feature to add images or video to your profile. If you have a specific project you require help with, this is a great way to explain it to travellers!

Tip 2: Share your knowledge and insights through the Working Traveller Wiki. After you contribute, we will generate a link to your website on the page you helped edit. A link from the Working Traveller Wiki will improve your website’s ranking on Google and other search engines!

Tip 3: List all languages that your team members speak in your profile. Many travellers are motivated to improve language skills. The more languages you list, the more attention you will draw from travellers! To add more languages, click on “Profile” and then “Languages”.

Tip 4: See a traveller with skills you are interested in? Hit the red “follow” button next to their profile. The traveller will be notified that you are interested in his or her skills!

Tip 5: Post a link to your volunteer or work exchange placement on your website and social media sites. This way more people can apply while you keep all the benefits of managing your volunteer and work exchange placement through Working Traveller!

Tip 6: Build your references. Once you have over 5 references left by travellers with an average of 8 or higher, you will be promoted in our search results!
