Step 1: Complete the White Form
A. Click on the green “Sign up” button in the top right corner of the home page
B. Click next to “traveller,” enter your first and last name, your email address, create a password, and make sure to agree to the terms and conditions. Click the red “sign up” button at the bottom when finished.
Note: you can also complete the form by clicking the “sign in with Facebook” or “sign in with VK” buttons
Step 2: Verify Your Email
After Step 1, you will receive a verification email. Click on “finalise your registration”
Note: if you signed in with Facebook or VK you will not have to complete this step
Step 3: Provide Required Information
You will now be asked to give your first name, last name, travelling name (how hosts will see your name), nationality, and gender
Step 4: Provide Birthdate
Please enter your date of birth using the dropdowns (day/month/year)
Step 5: Write “Brief CV”
Please enter a 200 word description of yourself that includes the most important details of your background (education, experience, special qualifications)
Note: this is the first thing hosts will see about you, so make sure to make a good impression
Step 6: Enter “Full CV”
Copy and paste your CV or resume as a text document into the box
Step 7: Write “About Me”
In this section please write about your hobbies and interests so that hosts can get a better idea of what it will be like to host you
Note: after writing this section, make sure to click the green “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page
Step 8: Click on “Upload your profile picture button
Step 9: Upload Profile Picture
Click the green “select your file” button and choose a clear photograph that shows your face. You will be asked to edit or crop the picture before you save to your profile.
Step 10: Click on “Select your languages” button
Step 11: Enter Languages
On this form you can add all the languages you know how to speak to your profile. After you add all your languages click the green “Save Languages” button
Step 12: Click on the “choose your skills/let’s do this” button
Step 13: Enter your skills
Type in your skills and click the green “Add Skill” button. You can also add skills to your profile by selecting them from the existing options on the page.
Step 15: click the “set your itenerary/let’s do this” button
In “itenerary description” enter the name of where you will be travelling. Select your travel status (if hosts will see that you are available to work). Enter the start date and end date of when you will be in the country. Enter the location continent and country. A red pin will be created on your map. You can drag the red pin to your exact location.
Step 17: Complete your itenerary and travel map
After Step 16, make sure to click the green “Add Entry” button. If you are travelling to more than one place, repeat Step 16 and Step 17 to add more places to your travel schedule
Note: If you are only travelling to one place, enter the information and move to Step 18
Step 18: Search for hosts
Congratulations! Your profile is complete. Now you can begin to search for volunteer or work exchange placements by clicking “find work” at the top of the page
Step 19: Search for hosts
Choose which of your skills you are interested in using for your volunteer or work exchange placement. Then choose where you are interested in finding a volunteer or work exchange placement.
